Reading for Reconciliation

Reading for Reconciliation is a book club with a difference.

The group focuses on reading Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander authors. Local authors often come along to discuss their books with the book club members.

Books for 2009

• 10 May - "The Tall Man" by Chloe Hooper.
• 21 June - "Bittersweet Journey" by Ruth Hegarty - author will be there.
• 2 August - "The Grand experiment" by Anouk Ride - author will be there.
• 20 September "Life b'long Ali Drummond: a life in the Torres Strait" by Samantha Faulkner.
• 1 November - "Anonymous Premonition" by Yvette Holt.
• 8 December - "Stradbroke Dreamtime" by Oodgeroo Noonuccal. This will be held at Stradbroke.

When: Sunday mornings from 10.30am-12.30pm

Where: Parliamentary Annex, Brisbane (May and June meetings); Loris Williams Room, State Library of Queensland (August, September, November meetings) Stradbroke Island (December meeting).
