The Australian Government's Office for Women is seeking applications from community sector and Indigenous representatives to attend CSW 54 (Commission on the Status of Women) in New York from 1 to 12 March 2010.
The 54th session of CSW marks the 15-year review of the implementation of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action (also known as Beijing +15). The review is intended to assess nations' progress towards implementation of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action.
The selected representatives will provide advice to the delegation on Australia's progress on the implementation of Beijing +15 from non-government and Indigenous perspectives.
Flights to and from New York, accommodation and a meal allowance will be funded by the Australian Government Office for Women.
Applications close Friday 6 November 2009.
