This report provides baseline data taken in 2006. Progress in improving outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in Queensland will be measured from this baseline data.
The implementation progress report, published in 2006, is the companion document to the Partnerships Queensland Baseline Report 2006. It provided information on government action taken under the Partnerships Queensland Policy Framework.
Quarterly reports summarise the progress being made to improve the quality of life for Indigenous Queenslanders living in 19 Aboriginal and mainland Torres Strait Islander communities - Aurukun, Bamaga, Cherbourg, Doomadgee, Hope Vale, Injinoo, Kowanyama, Lockhart River, Mapoon, Mornington Island, Napranum, New Mapoon, Palm Island, Pormpuraaw, Seisia, Umagico, Woorabinda, Wujal Wujal andYarrabah.
The Indigenous Partnership Agreement was signed in 2007 by the Premier and the mayors of 15 communities. The agreement provides a framework for the communities to negotiate individual Local Partnership Agreements.
