About this site

The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnership (ATSIP) has recently been redeveloped.

Information on the redeveloped website covers a range of topics including:

  • Queensland Government programs and initiatives aimed at Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples
  • community profiles
  • legislation information
  • service information
  • good news stories about community achievements
  • events

The website aims to provide information that is relevant to particular website audiences. For example, information on this website is for:

  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples (access information about grants, parenting, family history, health)
  • Business (access information about funding, awards, business support)
  • Government (access information about government programs and initiatives - for example, Closing the Gap or Alcohol reforms)
  • Everybody's business (access information about cultural protocols for engaging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, Reconciliation, alcohol restrictions in communities)

The design of the site is based on a common look and feel for all Queensland Government.

Viewing and downloading PDF files

Information on the ATSIP website is provided in a number of formats, including Portable Document Format (PDF). To view and/or print PDF documents, you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer. Visit Adobe website to download Acrobat Reader (free software).

If you are experiencing problems opening a PDF, try saving it to your computer before opening. To do this:

  1. Right click on the link
  2. Select "Save Target As" from the drop-down menu
  3. Browse to the computer directory where you want the file saved
  4. Click "Save"

You can then open the PDF by double clicking on the file in your directory, or by opening it from within the Acrobat Reader software.

Downloading Microsoft Word documents

Some information on the ATSIP website is provided in Microsoft Word documents. To view, save and print Microsoft Word files you will need either Microsoft Office or a free Microsoft Office Online viewers installed on your computer. Visit the Microsoft website to download the free Microsoft Word viewer.

To view Word documents, select the link text. The document will load into the reader.

To save a Word document for later viewing:

  1. Right-click your mouse on the link text.
  2. Select “Save Target As” from the drop down menu.
  3. Browse to the computer directory where you want the file saved.
  4. Click “Save”.
