No matter where you live in Queensland, you can get involved in arts programs from dance to music to making your own videos.

Dance and performing arts

Aboriginal Centre for the Performing Arts

Certificate courses are available in acting, singing, dance and music to start your career as a professional performing artist.

Flying Arts

Flying Arts run visual arts youth programs including workshops with professional artists, gallery tours and more.

Youth Arts Queensland

Training, development, mentoring and support programs for young artists including dancers, actors, musicians and photographers.

NAISDA Dance College

NAISDA Dance College offers certificate and diploma courses in dance. Their annual auditions program is free to anyone aged between 18 and 30 who is eligible for Abstudy.

Film and digital media

Noise

Noise offers artists an online gallery to showcase their work. You can submit any of your creative artwork, including pictures, music, film, animation, photography and jewellery to Noise anytime.

National Youth Week

National Youth Week is an annual event with competitions for music, film, photography, writing and design. It is usually held around March or April each year.

Young Filmmakers Festival Queensland

The Young Filmmakers Festival Queensland encourages all Queenslanders under 18 years to have a voice through the medium of film.

Voiceworks

Voiceworks is a national, quarterly magazine. If you're under 25 you can submit your poetry, short stories, articles and comics, illustrations, drawings and photos.
